And the whores keep on wreaking havoc.
It's already the holy month of Ramadhan. But even this cannot make the whores of Indonesia from pausing in their activities of the flesh. Mainly, I guess it is the patrons themselves that needs to be blamed.
I mean, if patrons would stop looking for sexual services, do you think these whores will be here? A very simple supply-and-demand concept, actually. There is supply because the demand is high.
To my Moslem brothers, is there no mention in the Quran that prostitution is not necessarily a good thing? If none, do you think it should have been spelled out? Forgive my ignorance but sometimes, ignorance is bliss. I just cannot help but think how hypocrites we have become, praying at least 5 times a day, observing the Friday celebration for males, go on fasting for a month and making that pilgrimage to the holy place. Yet, we seek worldly pleasures of the flesh. How is that?
Please do not condone me for this is not purely an Islamic issue. Other religions have their worldy affairs as well. The Catholic church has been continuously embroiled in sexual harrassment and even pedophilic and homosexual matters, which according to the Church doctrine, is evil.
I guess you can say it is human nature to seek matters of the flesh.
So, it comes as no surprise if the Indonesian government, including its so-called Cyber Crime division of the Police and the different press and media organizations have turned a blind eye or a deaf ear to my pleas. If this is so, might as well legitimize prostitution!
Sorry. But it really sucks!
